MW Luxury Packaging produces luxury display case for Dieline Award trophy

For the second year in a row, MW Luxury Packaging have teamed up with The Dieline and Neenah Packaging to produce a luxury display case for The Dieline’s award trophy, which was showcased at The Dieline Awards 2016.

Every year, The Dieline Awards honour the finest examples of consumer product packaging from across the globe, paying particular attention to the creativity, marketing strategies, and all-round innovation on display.

Working from a stunning design brief by Viceroy Creative, MW Luxury Packaging manufactured a luxury pack that embodied clean lines and simplicity, in order to highlight the exquisitely crafted trophy within. The design centres on a rigid board inner case, which has an opening in the middle fitted with a custom-made EVA foam fitment. This inner case holds the award snugly in place, and is wrapped in Neenah’s Stardream Fine Gold paper stock and stamped with The Dieline, Neenah and MW logos in matte black. To ease the removal of the trophy from the case, MW also included a black grosgrain ribbon attachment.

On top of the central case are fitted two custom-shaped doors, providing the appropriate protection for the award, and reflecting the creativity of the designs that The Dieline honours. The doors cleverly interlock with one another, through the use of magnets and an innovative friction-fit design, and are cushioned with soft black foam to ensure the safety of the trophy. The entire outer case is wrapped in Neenah’s Classic Crest Epic Black paper and foil-stamped with an elegant gold outline of the distinctive The Dieline logo.
