Glenfiddich Grand Cru
The Glenfiddich Distillery first opened its doors in 1887. Founded by William Grant, whose aim was to create the “best dram in the valley”, the Glenfiddich brand quickly became one of the most beloved in the Scotch whisky world.
Glenfiddich is the world’s number one single malt Scotch whisky and is known for its innovative whiskies, the latest being Grand Cru: a 23-year-old single malt finished in French cuvée casks. This unique whisky is rich with the flavours of lemon and freshly baked brioche. The sleek black glass bottle with its gold Grand Cru print and evocative golden closure are presented in an opulent black box featuring a sparking golden firework design, created by GPA Luxury.
We created the structure: a super-premium rigid board box with a rotating central compartment. We crafted this from premium board to ensure strength and create a smooth and even finish. Wrapping the box in bespoke soft-touch paper, dyed a deep black for a luxurious feel.
The front of the pack is embellished with a striking, firework-inspired spray of gold and silverand Glenfiddich Grand Cru branding, which has been foiled and embossed for maximum visual impact. The final touch is a colour-matched gold grosgrain ribbon which allows the user to pull back the front panel and smoothly rotate the pack open.
Inside reveals the main compartment lined with satin gold paper, visible from the front and creating a border effect around the front panel when closed. Upon opening the pack, the bottle compartment is revealed. Modelled after the Glenfiddich “tround” is the black triangular base flock fitment where the bottle sits. Another flock fitment holds the top, ensuring its safety during transit.
The final detail is a backdrop lined with the same satin gold paper which covers the interior of the main compartment. This backdrop, again inspired by the iconic Glenfiddich shape, features tapering triangular lines which create the effect of the bottle being lit from behind.
